For instance, research highlights challenges faced by transgender students in South African universities, including exclusion from facilities and lack of recognition, which impede their educational experiences.
Give social support
In many sub-Saharan African countries, transgender individuals face both legal and societal discrimination, leading to social exclusion and marginalization.
Give medical support
Transgender individuals often encounter discrimination and inadequate services. In Africa, for instance, the transgender population faces barriers in accessing health care, including hostile and discriminatory behavior by healthcare workers.
Support through advocacy
existing research highlights significant challenges faced by transgender communities, underscoring the critical need for advocacy: in areas concerning Mental health, work place discrimination and healthcare access.
